Below is a selection of caricature watercolour paintings.
Dan first draws a rough mock up of the caricature picture in pencil. The rough artwork is then emailed to the client and once the rough has been agreed it is then traced over on to watercolour paper (using a lightbox). The watercolour paper is then soaked in water and stretched on to board. Once the paper has dried watercolour paint is used to add the colour and finally black waterproof ink is applied to make certain areas of the picture stand out from the background.
